The Mandarin Chinese speech database from Taiwan comprises a total of 720.8 hours of audio. It features a sampling rate of 16,000 Hz and a bit depth of 16 bits. The data is sourced online and covers 11 domains, including health, film and television, tourism, technology, and more. This database has been transcribed and annotated by professional speech annotators and rigorously quality-checked, achieving a text accuracy rate exceeding 96%.

2. Speech Data Transcription

Transcribers produce textual content based on the audio they hear, striving to ensure that the written text accurately reflects the spoken words. General guidelines are as follows: 1) The transcription must exactly match the spoken content—no extra words, missing words, or errors. 2) Numbers should be spelled out in Chinese characters, e.g., “一二三” rather than “123.” 3) English words should be written in lowercase; phonetic spellings must use uppercase letters with spaces, such as “W W W dot Google dot com” or “C E O.” 4) All annotations must fully correspond to the actual pronunciation without any omissions.
