Vietnamese speech database

About this dataset

1. Product Overview

A Vietnamese speech database totaling 521 hours. Sampling rate: 16,000 Hz; bit depth: 16 bits. The speakers are native Vietnamese speakers aged between 14 and 51. Transcriptions were performed by professional proofreaders and subjected to rigorous quality checks, achieving a text accuracy rate of over 95%.

2. Speech Data Transcription

Transcribers transcribe the audio content based on what they hear, striving to ensure complete consistency between the written text and the spoken audio. General guidelines include: 1) Transcriptions must exactly match the spoken content—no extra words, missing words, or errors. 2) Numbers should be transcribed in English Latin form—for example, “Một hai ba” becomes “one two three,” not “123.” 3) English words should be lowercase unless capitalized for proper nouns or acronyms, e.g., “W W W dot Google dot com,” “C E O.” 4) All annotations must fully reflect the actual pronunciation without omissions.
